The Alfresco Pizzeria has been around, by one name or another, since 1977 when it was Herb's Fin & Feather. It was Herb who started serving Italian pizza and breads. He came up with the secret sauce recipe that is still used today to make the pizzeria's uniquely flavorful sauce used on a thin crust baked in stone ovens. All pizzas are made with fresh vegetables, locally sourced when possible. Also, enjoy a house salad along with Herbs' Famous Pizza Fries, bread sticks and garlic bread. The dining room of Alfresco Pizzeria overlooks Lock & Dam No. 4, and restorations are underway to bring back the building's 1871 interior. Or you can eat under the gazebo in the Promenade Garden with over 100 varieties of day lilies overlooking the Mississippi River. Also, soon to be completed is a dining area on Main Street. All of this is part of our Hotel de Ville in Alma, WI.
