Saint Patrick will be alive and well Tuesday, March 11 at Big River Theatre in Alma, WI as we welcome Danny Diamond and Brian Miller as we get in touch with our real or imagined Irish roots. Minnesota-based duo Danny Diamond (formerly of Slow Moving Clouds, Swan Lake / Loch na hEala, Mórga) & Brian Miller (Bua, The Lost Forty) brings together two of the top Irish folk/traditional musicians in the US. Their soulful and compelling live performances run the gamut from romantic waltzes to tearaway reels, punctuated by impeccable arrangements of newly-unearthed traditional songs. Building on their 2021 duo album, Let Fly, their live set digs deep into Diamond’s roots in the north of Ireland, showcasing rare and unusual repertoire, played with rhythm and sensitivity. These instrumentals sit alongside new arrangements of rediscovered Irish-American folksongs from the Northwoods of the Upper Midwest.
