Author Dave Balcom was an award-winning journalist for 35 years with 11 newspapers in six different states from New York to California, Minnesota to Mississippi. When he no longer had the daily outlet for story telling that newspapers afforded, he began working on books. Susie Balcom, a retired special education elementary school teacher, has become Jim Stanton’s story telling compass. Her gentle editor’s touch keeps our hero in line just as it has Dave for decades. In addition to novels, Dave and Susie offer communication solutions for organizations, businesses, and individuals. They are available to assist with anything from planning discussions on storytelling and fiction to nonfiction including operation manuals, staff policy notebooks, training courses, and non-political speeches.
