On Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2:00pm, Jamie LaBreck and Patrick Kelly will give a special presentation on “Weapons through the Ages” at Castlerock Museum in Alma, Wisconsin. The program will cover the general evolution of weapons from the bronze age to the late industrial era. Although the focus will be on European weapons, they will cover examples from around the world. Jamie LaBreck is a museum volunteer and reenactor with an interest in medieval warfare. Patrick Kelly is a fellow volunteer and reenactor who also works as a cutler at Arms and Armor in Minneapolis.
Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Museum members receive a 50% discount. Castlerock Museum will be open at 1:00pm for visitors that would like to see the exhibits beforehand. Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. Contact the museum at 608.685.4231 or

A visit offers the chance to view and learn about authentic armor spanning many periods; the collection begins with ancient Greece, and concludes in the early modern period.
