Alma Public Library
Member Introduction
The Alma Public Library was established in 1985 to serve the City of Alma and surrounding Buffalo County. The Library grew out of the Alma Free Library begun in 1939. Much has changed since those early years!
Today, the Library has over 13,000 items in its collection including books, DVDs, audiobooks, storykits, puzzles, and more!

Call ahead or knock on the door. If no one is in the Library, you're in!
  • Library users can borrow items from all over the state.
  • 155,000 ebooks are available for those who prefer an e-format.
  • The Library partners with individuals and organizations to bring fun and educational programming to the community.
  • Hundreds of newspapers and magazines are available for children and adults through an online state resource called Badgerlink.
