Dairyland is proud of its history as a pioneer in rural electrification. The generation and transmission cooperative formed in 1941, bringing light and power to the homes and farms in “America’s Dairyland.” Specifically providing the wholesale electrical requirements for 24 distribution cooperatives and 17 municipal utilities, Dairyland’s members supply the energy needs of more than a half-million people. Dairyland works to exceed its members’ expectations as a safe, sustainable, premier power cooperative, serving a four-state service territory.
