Pier 4 Café & Smokehouse is one of the longest-running restaurants in our little town, still providing a place for the community to gather and tourists to stop for a special moment of simple, home-style, midwestern cuisine. Nestled, narrowly between Main Street of Alma, Wisconsin, and the Great Mississippi River, the Pier 4 overlooks the Lock and Dam No. 4, where it gets its name. With a view of the river, the Pier 4 is a light and airy space celebrating our community's culture with mounted fish, a model train, and decorations that showcase the rich history and lifestyle of Alma. Recently under new ownership; Liz and Joe Walker with their two daughters, Emily and Nikki and the help of Liz's mother, Julie Lindstrom, Pier 4 Café is opening a new chapter of its life while it continues to keep the tradition of good food, in humble settings, shared with great people all year long.
